The people

Mark Thorpe......... Mark Thorpe grew up near Dartmoor National Park in Devon. Mark is a graduate in Linguistics and Philosophy from the University of Hertfordshire.
Mark is the company founder and responsible for much of the guiding. Unable to settle in a ’regular’ job, Mark tried retail management, high finance and teaching before settling on guiding.
During his many career breaks Mark travelled, trekked and climbed extensively. He has literally 1000s of outdoor days to his credit and many interesting stories to tell. When at home in his adopted Sweden, Mark loves training and competing in all kinds of endurance events.
Moments that have shaped his life include: seeing a tiger in the wild, jumping out of a perfectly good plane at several thousand feet, completing the Everest Marathon, running out of money in South America and trekking in the highlands of New Guinea.

Catarina Nordin ......... Catarina grew up in Norrtälje, a coastal town not far north of Stockholm. Catarina is a graduate in information/design from the University of Eskilstuna in Southern Sweden.
Our own IT genius, she is often taking bookings, solving technical problems and generally making things run smoothly. As well as working for Wild Exposure, Catarina is jointly responsible for one of the area’s biggest events, Åre autumn market. The market attracts more than 8000 visitors and is usually at the end of September.
Catarina loves outdoor activities at a relaxed pace. Walking in the mountains, ski touring and gardening are her favourite hobbies.
Moments that have shaped her life include: a five month long trip to India and Nepal, visiting Ladakh in northern India – a truly sustainable community, and producing an exhibition for the Natural History Museum in Stockholm.
