Traditional mid-summer celebrations were interupted by the usual summer showers. That wasn't enough to dampen spirits. Lots of traditonal music and kids dancing around the 'May' pole together with many beautiful mid-summer reathes.

 As any of you regular visitors may have noticed my website has been down for a while due to re-building. I've been working hard with a guy called Lloyd Owen in Mattmar on a new one using a wonderful tool called drupal. Even the White House is using it for their website! 

I intend to put a lot more on the website in the near future, lots more details on the wildlife and history of the area, up and coming courses and events and recent pictures. Would love to have some feedback on the new website. Just click on the contact us link and send your comments.

In August I'm heading up to northern Finland with world famous wildlife film maker Bo Kristiansson. Hoping to see brown bears fattening themselves up for the winter. I'm already really excited about the trip. Check my site out again in late August to see if I managed to get any good pics.
